Beyond the suns that guard this roof,
Beyond your flowers of flaming truths,
It would have been easy to stop and offer help to the young boy who was crumbled up and crying on the sidewalk. It would have been easy but the sun was warm and the day was beautiful. It would have been easy to take off his shoe and put a sock in his mouth so he wouldn't keep making that irritating crying sound, even if his mom hadn't been good looking. It would have been easy to try to stop all his bleeding but young girls were laughing with gusto just down the block and the sun was warm. It would have been easy to attempt to offer comfort to the young fellow but pain and suffering are the building blocks of character. It would have been easy to do something but not as easy as doing nothing on such a beautiful day.
