Congratulations to Candace Parker on winning the John R. Wooden award as the best female basketball player in the NCAA. Parker, a red-shirt junior at the University of Tennessee, claimed the honor for the second year in a row. She has already been drafted, number one, by the Los Angeles Sparks in the WNBA draft.
Softball
Arizona State swept UNLV, 6-5, 14-7, to go 46-3 on the season. Up next for the Sun Devils is a two game series with Arizona on Friday and Saturday.
